wogoman weekly - volume 4 issue 35

First I remembered the pictures this week!  Second, it might just get up to 60 degrees this week.  Yippy, maybe winter is over! Third, I saw robins yesterday, ROBINS.  So officially for me spring is here.  I am just wondering what a summer without a winter will be like.

This last week was a long one and this week seems to be just as busy.  Jason's step brother's dad passed away this last week.  It was a surprise and so we tried to tell Tenille what was happening when we went to the viewing.  We told Tenille we were going to put on nice clothes and go be with family.  She came out in the outfit all decked out.  She got her high heals and everything on.  Poor kid, we made her change after she put all that hard work into looking nice.  It was a pretty awesome moment though in between the viewings.  Everyone was out of the room except for Tenille and her cousin Anna.  I got to see just as Anna was telling Tenille about the guy in the casket.  Pretty cool to see them in there all alone saying their goodbyes.

On a night that J worked I went and had dinner with my parents.  Katie was there on her first overnighter.  Tenille just can't wait for her to be a little bit bigger.  She did feed Katie as many puffs and she could hold.  That was pretty funny.

And the last picture is of the mustache.  The bash is over and J shaved it off.  Not sure how much they raised for charity this year but hopefully it was a lot.  Tenille really didn't like it and J asked her each night if she would like to kiss the mustache and she said, "No, its disgusting!"  Fun kid huh?

Scrapbooking with the family this weekend.  Lots of fun, lots of food . . . so exciting!

opps! The pictures

wogoman weekly - volume 4 issue 34

Well Valeninte's day has come and gone and Tenille is madly in love with chocolate.  Not sure where that could have come from!  We both got chocolate first thing in the morning from J and then at night from my dad.  My dad has been awesome at always remember his kids on that day.  I've never been forgotten and that makes is know I am loved!  We took Tenille to Southside soda shop and ate until we were MORE than full.  She loved the place.  All you have to do is look at that smile and know she is having a good time.

Hank got training over the weekend on how to hunt birdies.  Aparently he is so good at it we don't have to come back.  Guess we picked a good dog.  I think he is a good dog just because he lets Tenille love all over him and doesn't make a fuss.  Last night he was eatting a rawhide and Tenille came up and tried to ride him like a horse.  He just looks and her, licked her, and went back to his bone.  Cool huh?

The picture of Tenille as Lincoln was about more than I could handle.  Too cute right?  She made log cabins out of preztels and that hat and beard.  She came home declairing she knew all about that guy with the beard on the penny.  Guess she is learning something.

Speaking of beards, J has 4 days to go until he gets rid of the mustache. I will make sure to take a picture for you all so next week you can see before and after.  I am sure it will be funny.  A guy carded him this weekend when we were trying to pay and he did a double take looking at his driver's license and he current face.  :)

Other than that we are busy at home, doing . . . . home things I guess.  Still trying to clean up the woods.  Enjoying the tomotoes that I canned last summer.  They were awesome in a chili that we had last night.  Yummo!

Hope you are enjoying the snow!

Loving south side soda

wogoman weekly - volume 4 issue 33

It is Valentine's Day.  Have your hugged your sweetie?

We started the morning out with chocolate and new jewelry for T.  She was so excited.  What couldn't be better than chocolate and jewelry from daddy?  We are taking her tonight to the South Side Soda shop.  She is so excited about the different kinds of soda!  And of course maybe some more of that yummy chocolate. :)

J has been busy this week fishing the ice and attacking the trees.  Those grape vines have brought down so many trees this year.  We are going to try and save as many as we can but my goodness there is a lot of a mess going on.  :)  Guess that is next years firewood being made!

I hope the picture of hank and j and T comes through.  They all posed.  And the best part is looking at Tenille's hand.  She is trying to pull hank's head up so he will "smile" for the picture.  Cute huh?  Hank is such a trooper.  She lays on him. Pulls him around.  Dresses him up, and he just looks at us like . . well I guess this is my life. :)  Hank got to train with some more birdies yesterday.  He did well.  He even got to haul around a dead goose.  I know, what could be more fun!  J had one of our friends come over and bring their new lab.  So Hank got to play and train.

I took Tenille to see Seussical Jr. at the Bristol Opera house.  She loved it.  It was lots of singing and dancing.  It was an all kids cast and I think they did GREAT.  She really liked the who's.  Of course the Grinch was there.  Mostly the story was about Horton the elephant trying to save the who's on his dust speck.  So cute.  We then took her for ice cream and the emporium in Bristol.  A cute store.  You should all stop in.  Some of our friends were in their playing music with their band so Tenille was in heaven.  That girl loves to dance.

Well I think that is it.  We are refinancing our house and doing taxes.  Saving money is always a good thing!  Hopefully this wintry day finds you well and full of chocolate. :)

wogoman weekly - volume 4 issue 32

It has happened again.  We attended a Superbowl party Sunday that was a friend of a friend.  That means other than our fire department friends we didn't know anyone.  I was there for MAYBE two minutes, arms full of food and spoons, Tenille running around my legs, and a women walks up to me.  She looks at me and I kid you not, says ,"Are you a Watson?"  Come on!  I look at her and say, "Really is it that obvious, is it written on my forehead and I just don't know?"  She starts laughing says hi to Tenille and informs me we has worked with my Dad for the last 30 + years.  She has seen pictures of our whole family and yes, she lives in Bristol and when to school with my uncles.  So it is official, while no one can guess my genetic make up, it is CLEARLY the Watson's I get these genes from.  Maybe I better start investigating if we adopted someone a long time ago or something!  :)

Tenille's quote of the week:
From the other room I hear," Mommy, Sasha is pretending Hank is a pony and riding him!"  Not sure why the female is riding the male but you get the idea.  She thought it was so funny and was sure to tell J when he got home.

Tenille is having red beans today at school.  We will see how the prayers go tonight.

Took Cari to the Selah Day Spa in Mishawaka.  It was awesome.  Who wouldn't feel like that after being pampered for 4 hours.  :)  I highly recommend that spa if you are looking for somewhere to go.

Both the boys worked Friday so we had our family date night.  If both the boys work we try to get the cousins all together.  We ate at Mancinos and finally caught up with what they have been doing.  I found the picture of Brie and Tenille on my phone later.

Jason is 7 days into the mustache bash.  He hates it and looks a little goofy.  But all the money goes to charity  so he is trying not to make it farther than he did last year.  He current mustache record I think is two weeks.  So we will see . . . he is half way there.

Tenille is in love with this purple coat, hat, and mittens I got for $4 at a garage sale last summer.  She also is loving her bike helmet.  Even had to wear it to school in the car.
