wogoman weekly - volume 4 issue 44

Last night we said our prayers and were getting ready to turn out the light when Tenille grabbed me and said:
Mommy I missed you when you were at school (that is what we told her when I was in Kansas City)
I want you to know Mommy I pray for you every time I lay down in my cot.
My hear just melted.  (ahhhhh my little girl prays for me?  It that doesn't melt your heart there is something wrong with you.)
The pictures this week come from me but my sister as well.  She took the one of my grandpa with Tenille out by the model T.  My Uncle Bill is working very hard to restore this old truck.  It used to belong to my great grandfather and he used it to haul groceries from his store to his customers.  It has become much the family project.
I love the photo but the fact that Tenille is with her great grandfather next to her great great grandfathers truck.  Well how often does that happen?  Pretty cool I think!
We got our new furniture Saturday.  Yep, the Amish lazy boy dealer delivers on Saturday.  End tables are not done yet but at least we have the new furniture.  I have already lost my chair to Tenille.  Not a deal deal since I then get the whole couch.  Our old couch is waiting to be picked up so we have lots of furniture right now.  It reminds me over a game we used to play that we called lava.  You know . . . jump from piece to and don't touch the floor.  That is what our living looks like.  It would totally still be fun at 34 but I don't want to teach Tenille that game with new leather seats to jump on.  :)
Our pool is officially open.  Tenille ran and tried on all her suits and came out of the sun porch with that outfit on.  Nice huh?  She wanted to go swimming but we told her no it was too cold.  That girl loves that pool.
Saturday a friend of ours play at the Electric Brew in Goshen.  We went out to eat and then took Tenille there.  She got her own cocoa and a brownie and listen to the music.  We walked out of there at 9 pm and she jumped up in the air and said "That was AWESOME!"  It is so cool to see the joy that she takes in little things.  I hope she never loses that.
These last little stories are fun things that she has said recently that really made me smile:
We got new tires for my car this week.  Tenille asked me " Mommy did the tires get to small for your car?"  Well sorta was my reply.  Pretty cute huh?
Tenille had a little bit of a runny nose this weekend and she told me, "Mommy I think I am catching up with a cold."  I agreed.
The other day at school someone called her a princess, and Tenille replied no I'm not, I'm human.
And lastly, she told my mom that she dyed Easter eggs at school.  She said some thing like, "We dyed them but we didn't make them die."  Dye . . died . . how is one to figure all this out.
There was one more last night, it was quarter and corduory.  She wanted both those things to start with q.  Well why don't they?  I have no idea nd I thought no wonder people are not learning the English language.  This stuff is hard!
Well I think that is it . . . Have a great day!

wogoman weekly - volume 4 issue 43

Good Bright and Sunny Morning to you all!

Last night J, t and I all spent time looking over the books that I have made out of these emails.  Yes, books.  3 so far.  And the 4th one is being created as we speak. :)  It was awesome to show Tenille how little she was.  The first book had pictures of the old house and things that J and I take for granted.  For Tenille it was all new!  It is amazing to think that all her memories will  be in this new house.  For her we have always lived here.  We looked at our house and our pool and we laughed.  Oh my have we come a LONG way!

We laughed over J getting pooped on and funny things that she used to say.  Heck she still says funny things.  That girl is a dreamer and talks in her sleep.  This morning when J went in to kiss her goodbye, she started telling him we needed more toilet paper, and did he know that we are almost out he he he.  Laughing and laughing, then she told him how much she loves that yummy yellow bread we have.  Huh?  We don't have any yellow bread.  We waved to J good bye and then she fell asleep on the couch until 7 am when I had to be the meany and wake her up.  That is what I equate it must be similar to waking up a bear.  All teeth and claws.  Gets that from her daddy.

When I went to Chicago over spring break I picked up a shelving unit for Tenille loft.  It's official, I get the sun porch and Tenille gets the loft.  She now has all her puzzles and games up there.  I hope to move her coloring stuff up there tonight.  When she is tired of us, she climbs right up there and has a high ho time.  Currently her favorite thing to do is take the boxes out of the shelves and sit in them.  Then yell out, "mama, I am a baby dinosaur.  I am about ready to hatch!"  I picked up operation, candy land, and chutes and ladders at a garage sale Friday for 50 cents each a more puzzles for her for 25 cents each.  Yep, that means I went to those garage sales BEFORE I went to work.  That's how you get the good stuff!  :)  We play operation almost every night.  No batteries of course and we are missing two pieces.  She doesn't care.  I'm afraid the batteries would just scare her and we would be done with the game.  Our game goes like this, I flip over the card, she pulls the piece out and then we repeat.

I also picked up an  old school dinner triangle.  Now hopefully I won't have to yell when J is out in the woods!  I long for a dinner bell, but I thought a $5 triangle would do the trick for now.

Max and Ethan came over for Tenille on Saturday because everyone's daddy was working.  Tenille of course got those boys all dressed up.  We made bird feeders and earth cupcakes (it was earth day Sunday you know)  Then they played vacuum the house and sweep up all the bird seed!  We took a walk to the deer feeder and those boys both went tumbling down that hill.  It was like slow-motion-oh-my-can't-stop-and-they-are-just-going-faster-now-they-are-tumbling-down-the-hill.  The were covered in dirt and grass.  Poor boys.  Where is my daughter in all this?  She ran down the hill and was almost at the back of our property line with Hank.  Those two are like peas in a pod outside.  OK they are like peas in a pod everywhere.

J got his deer head back Sunday.  We hung it up and Hank decided he does not like it at all.  At first he just smelled it and stared at it.  (see picture)  but he has now decided he must growl, whine, and bark at it.  This only happens when we are not in the room but you can hear him in our back bedroom.

Well I think that is about it.  Our pool is getting opened this week and then we can play keep the dog out of the pool.  Currently if he gets too hot, he runs across the cover and then lays down in the water.  Should be fun, wish us luck!  Oh and the last picture of hank is taken by Tenille with my phone.  She put it in instgram and chose this.  That girl is smart!

wogoman weekly - volume 4 issue 40, 41, and 42?

Well I am sure by now you think we have fallen off the face of the earth.
Close but no.  Busy has been a very loose way to look at it.  Currently I am sitting in an airport in Kansas City waiting . . . for a plane . . who is in the air but it going to be late.  . . late enough we miss our flight to South Bend.  Late enough I may not go to school to tomorrow.  But everyone say a quick prayer and possibly everything will be ok, and I won't have to explain to my three year old why I am still not home.

So Kansas City, there is really nothing here except some Bar B Que and an IB conference.  So I went to find a new number as my mother says.  I learned more about the changes that are occurring in my curriculum for my Math Studies class.  Since this is an international class I had people in my class from all over the U.S. and Canada.  My class was taught by a lady from Ontario.  My family has really stepped up this past week to help us out with watching T while I was away.  This is why family is so important!  So thanks mom and dad!  You are the best.

We had a great spring break, visited my brother Mark in Chicago and stayed at Pokagon State park and Tenille got to swim in the pool there.  What an idea . . an indoor pool.  Tenille had her first fancy hot chocolate in Chicago.  They brought it on a silver platter.  Easter was awesome.  The bunny came to our house and left foot prints all over the place.  Tenille loved it and made us keep them all day.   She had such a great time at my Aunts.  They are cows and goat ( who tenille made smile for the picture)  She played so hard she crashed on the way home.

I also went to the Vera outlet Sale.  It was of course awesome.  Who would love the awesomeness of that?

Tenille has been having play dates with Max and Ethan as you can tell from the photos.  We are going with them on vacation this year so we are trying to get the kids used to each other!  Well that is about it.  Another hour and some before we get on the first flight and then I have to run for my next plane and PRAY that it is running late by at least 10 mins.  Probably not going to happen.  Booooooo so one unhappy Tenille is what I am going to find for tomorrow.  Hope you all have a great day!
