wogoman weekly - volume 3 issue 4
| Cicadas! I was racking my brain trying to remember last week the other thing that told me that Fall is coming. If you haven't noticed, the cicadas have been singing for sometime. Frost is on its way. :) All is well here. Tenille is still not sleeping, not sure how she can still be punishing us for going away for 3 nights but that seems to be the deal. She now demands that one of the dogs spend the night with her in her room. The dogs are less than thrilled about this let me tell you. Sasha handles it much better than Harry. I think Tenille is afraid of being alone or of the dark. Maybe both. It finally rained a little here. J, t, and I all took the moment to splash in the rain. T was unsure if this was a good thing or not because it was so cold. I realized this might have been a mistake when she got ready to jump in a HUGE mud puddle at the library today. But we want to teach her to enjoy life and by golly that is what we were doing. She did make a new friend at the library this week. Not a boy (that was last week) but a pet rabbit. There was a girl there with her rabbit on a leash. Tenille wanted to bring it home. She loved on that thing like no tomorrow. New news here, we are still working on the house. :) I have gotten wheelbarrow loads of sticks picked up out of the front yard as well as the back. I am sure I am keeping the neighbors laughing. I had a go round with a root the other day. I won of course but I got dirt all over me and tore up the yard. Still positive progress is good. While on my weekly round up mission I found a bat. Made in 1997 and hidden in the woods under all sorts of stuff. It has a large dent in the side, probably a murder weapon of some sort. :) (I know what is wrong with me?) J was able to finally clear the paths back open in the woods. His shooting lane is looking better all the time. We are amazed by the vegetation growth. The vines are out of control. If you don't keep moving back there, they are liking to tie you down. Tenille has learned my first name, not that I taught it to her. When I didn't come get her right away the other day she stopped calling mom and started yelling TRACCCCYYYY! I think this girl is pretty stinkin smart! Tenille did learn that a movie that plays in the car can also play in the house. This was amazing to her. She was so happy to see Dora up on that big screen! I know there is more that I am missing but I'm tired from lack of sleep and I started boot camp today. There was a 62 year old woman there! I was so proud of her for completing her 1 mile run (and a little walk) in under 14 mins. I think that is pretty good! I run a mile on my birthday every year. As long as I can make it, I'm still young! :) Looks like I will be young for a long time. :) I know that many of you Workman weekly readers are getting near that age mark so I hope I didn't make you feel old. :) My time was 9:21 so hopefully I can drop some of that time in the next four weeks. That is my goal. Have a great night/day. |

wogoman weekly volume 3 issue 3
We are back to the"normal" part of our summer. That means T is back in day care 3 days a week and I am back to working on the house. :) Tenille is doing so many things right now that make me laugh. She loves to play her version of Marco polo. It goes, Moooommmmmyyyy, then I say Tenilleeeeee, and she starts over. I think she is just check in to see where we are in the house. Our fish from the birthday party is still alive and we are feeding him/her everyday which Tenille loves. As you can tell by the picture she really LOVES this fish. She talks to it and likes to sit next to it. So funny. We have spent more time at Jeff and Heather's pool. This is giving Tenille so much confidence in the water. Tonight I put her in the hot tub to swim around. She loved it but when I put her life jacket on her and she could float everywhere . . look out world! She got her face and her head wet all on her own. I am so proud of our little two year old. I'm trying to get her to say her "prayers" at night. Not sure when you are supposed to start this with a kid but I figure it can't hurt. Tonight after I listed what we were thankful for and who we wanted God to keep an eye on for us (daddy was working) I asked Tenille if we needed to include anyone else. she thought long and hard and said, "Nikki (our baby/dog/house sitter) and Heather, and Brie, and . . . and proceeded to name everyone she knows. It was so cute. I took the bumper off her bed because I thought hey this thing is stupid to work around. We haven't slept a solid night since then. We need to be thinking about the big girl bed since she is sleeping on a cot at school but, in her crib she is contained! :) I know where she is, I feel safe that she is safe. Ahhh our baby is getting older. She has most of the words to "You are my Sunshine" down now. She really just likes to yell out Sunshine when the time is right really loud. That song is referred to as mommy song or sunshine song. Her other favorite is currently baby song which is rock a bye baby. What a weird song! The kid falls out of the tree! I know I had more good stuff for you . . . hmmm... we set fire to our backwoods on Sunday to clean the "shooting lane" for the fall hunting season. I have 5 more weeks until school ugh! and Fall is coming. My grandma at the lake(hey I had lots of grandmas so everyone got names that I could remember to tell them apart) used to say that after the 4th of July summer was over. I used to think that was her being pessimistic, then we moved out here. Read carefully people, the leaves are starting to turn, not all of them but a couple and they have already fallen. ugh! I saw geese flying south (sure something scared them off their pond but they went SOUTH!) So enjoy the weather and stop and smell your roses because fall is coming my friends and you don't want to have missed summer! Sound kinda preaching today don't I? I'll end on a light note. Tenille got candy at the Bristol parade this weekend. She was so funny because she didn't know what she was supposed to do. She looked at us like, "let me get this straight, today only I am supposed to run out into the street with no parents AND take candy from strangers? What gives?" By the time the last car threw candy Tenille was out there just smiling and picking up suckers, (her favorite!). Ahhh, our baby is so big! Have great night! |

wogoman weekly volume 3 - issue 1
Tenille taking her turn with Elmo.
The big cake! And no the copy right police didn't get me!
I know the talk around you table is "where is that wogoman weekly?" Well we had a party and then went on vacation. :) Tenille's birthday was great. I knew it was probably going to rain so we moved the party indoors. The south and north of us got more rain and wind but our house got a little rain and that was it. :) Everyone got to try out my new furniture in the sun room. It is the first time we have bought furniture in a long while for us so we were pretty excited. It was on sale at Sam's with a .01 (so you know it was as low as it was going to go!) I called about it and they said they were out. But when J called they had one left. I drove the truck and the trailer ( oh yeah my mom and I hooked it up ourselves. That furniture took up the whole trailer and J's truck bed. It looks awesome! J did have to perform a small surgery on himself this past week. He got into a patch of poision ivy oak or something, which got into his skin because of a hole that some spray foam had eaten through his skin. Sounds nice huh? The form was still stuck and his skin was turning black. (I'm not a doctor but I am sure this is a bad sign) So I found J in the kitchen with a toothpick, tweezers, nile file, small scissors, and my favorite, a small fishing fillet knife. He did get it all off but I think the poor guy will have a scar. What a good story, putting up a clothes line and protecting your house from bats, insects, and woodpeckers can lead to do it yourself surgery. That's my guy! Tenille is still endlessly worried if we are happy and asks all the time. So cute "mommy happpy? daddy happy?" I guess this is something that kids do at two years old. She also has learned to skip/hop/dance not sure what you would call it but it is so cute. She also is trying to sing with me at night. She knows some of the words to you are my sunshine so she jumps in when she knows them. I of course put it on film. The birthday party went great. Tenille enjoyed all the family and presents and of course her elmo cake. I think that was her favorite part. I got Essenhaus to make the cake. They don't have problems with copyright I guess. So she is turning into a "big girl" right before our eyes! I hope you all have a great 4th of July. |
