we are MOVED!

A Big THANK you goes out to my mom and dad, Jeff, Heather and the kids, Mike and his wife, my grandma, Cari and Steve, and Phil and Sharon. Without your help I am sure we would still be moving! :)

Jason and I are so tired. I feel like I ran a marathon or something, but it is all so worth it! Our house is so awesome and it is everything that J and I have been looking for! Even though the house is a complete disaster right now, we feel so at home there! J and I both commented how relaxed we now feel because we aren't worried about our house anymore! To prove this, we discovered our big bathtub still doesn't work (the electrician has to come out again!), and both sinks in the master bathroom leak. We both looked at each other and said, 'No problem'. When I tried to do laundry last night the washer started running water EVERYWHERE. No problem. J fixed it and we are good to go. It is amazing what bothers us now!

We did break a gum ball machine but that was about it. We need to do a little touch up on the paint now but all in all it was a VERY successful move.

My parents took Tenille Saturday night so J and I could go out to a birthday party. We got home late and at some time in the morning I started hearing a buzzing. All noise out there seem weird and I jumped out of bed to find our alarm clock (which was in a laundry basket) buzzing away. I forgot it had a battery backup! Last night the horrible wind started picking up and as we were in the basement (watching Desperate Housewives) we heard this horrible crash! We both jumped up and started racing around the house to figure out what it was. After a good long search we found Tenille's bathroom toys had fallen down in the tub. Tenille didn't even make a peep!

On the Tenille front, she got 3 shots last Monday for her 15 month appointment. She is in the 70% percentile for height and the 10% for weight. It makes me nervuse but I guess it is ok. Aunt Heather helped with the exam because she was doing her clinical time. I forgot, however, to pack snacks or a toot, or any toys so Tenille was a crabby butt! :) I am sure I will have tons more stories later. The dogs are adjusting to the shock collar underground fence and it is so nice that they can "be free!" The pictures are from my mom becuase our computer is still buried in the laundry room!

For those of you with dialup - sorry for the long download!

Moving Day has come!

Well everyone, it is 10:37pm the night before the move. J is working and Tenille and the dogs are sleeping. I am just checking in to let you know that I will be "out of the Internet office" for the weekend and then maybe longer. While we have Internet at school, we will be in the "no man's land" on CR 12. We think we have the idea of how to get high speed out there but haven't bought the equipment yet. I would upload some great pictures of our crazy house with boxes everywhere but I have already packed the cord the hooks up my camera to the computer. I have super saved all the important data files, why you may ask? Well you just never know if this computer will make the move and turn on once I get there. So that being said, I am signing off for a while. Please come out and see our new house! The chickens are even gone! :) Thanks for all the help and boxes everyone!

wogoman weekly - volume 2 issue 13

How do you know you are a mom? Well for me it is when you are in the middle of working and you think, "man what is that in my pocket?" and you pull out a toot (pacifier) that is how you know you are a working mom! As for knowing you are a mom, it is either when in the middle of the night you hear her cry "Ma ma!" and you jump out of bed, narrowly miss triping over the dog, and rush in there to get a "Hi!" from Tenille. Or it could be when you try to go to the bathroom only to hear Tenille crying like the world has ended because I left! Now I am a mother!

Tenille has grown 3 new teeth in 24 hours. Last night at 8 I noticed a new tooth. So she got numb gum (Orajel). At 2 am she woke up and I gave her more only to find another tooth. And this afternoon as I gave her more . . another showed up. Poor girl!

Our new house is almost done! We will have a final walk through next week! I can't believe that we have been working at this for 2 + months. Thanks for all being patient with us and reading about our adventures! Dan (the guy who owns the house currently) helped move the hot tub and his girl friend cleaned out the garage and the porch. It looks SO MUCH better! So this means we are BIG into packing. We think the official move date will be Saturday September 26Th. (Just have to check with insurance etc.)
I called friday to get the Nipsco lines and phone lines sprayed so I can tear up ground for my garden and Tenille's tree. As J said last night, it is hard work taking care of two houses and we will be glad to only have 1 again.
Tenille is doing wonderful at daycare and we absolutely love her new teacher. She is SO good with her and is working with her on new words and being patient. Patience is not a word in her vocabulary and she doesn't have much of it.
As for the words she knows here is the current list, "nooooooooooo!" sasha, harry, ma ma, da da, more, bow, abbie (her friend at daycare), hi, bye bye, and night night.

Her signs are eat, please, thank you, more, bath, sleep, and where is it?

She can understand and do, go get the shoes, put them on(hilarious to watch because she gets the idea but not how to do it), get your toot, blanket, or socks. Sit down, kiss, hug, nap (which she usually shakes her head no at), she maves,

Not sure you wanted a complete list but this is about recording what our little punkerdoodle can do and entertaining you at the same time.

She has not slept a full night all week. :( so I am super tired. I am hoping she will give me a super birthday present of sleep. That would be awesome.

Wogoman Weekly - Volume 2 Issue 12

Well what a better week! Tenille has recovered nicely from her trip to the ER. The cough is almost all gone and her teeth are through. I am pretty sure I see another molar coming in on the bottom now. Poor kid. She is enjoying eating everything out of our garden and that helps with the teeth I think. The messy picture is a pepper she has destroyed. It is little and FULL of seeds. Tenille took it upon herself to make a big mess!

Tenille got a new teacher at daycare this week. I like her so very much. She is a fun bubbly person and Tenille really likes her. They now have a lot more structure to their day. They even have "exercise time" which basically means they get to jump on mats which she thinks is pretty cool. We went to her open house this last week and she got a cool grasshopper finger puppet and a gummy worm. What come be better? We then walked to the car show and Tenille slept through most of it!

The biggest news is that the POOL GOT CLEANED OUT! I know you read it right. The guy who owns the house got a backhoe thing (I think very technical terms there) and got it all out in about two hours. When I left to give Tenille a nap it was still half full and when I came back . . .empty! I feel so much better about it. If Tenille would happen to fall in it now she will fall into sand instead of concrete, old fence, and a dead possum! Yes, it was dead in there!

during the process . .

Afterwards . . . AMAZING!

The garage also is all cleaned out and the cleaning ladies are starting to work on the house. The plumber still needs to come and do some work (Toilets etc) and the main bath tub. We are not sure that it will actually fit so be prepared for a good story if it doesn't !

I think that is about it, no trip to the ER, no husband swimming in a funny suit, so a pretty normal week! I'll post more pictures on the web of the house so you can see the progress and the pool! We also found out that rates went down AGAIN so yippy! It seems like every time we talk with our mortgage lady she tells us our payment will be less! I like her a lot! :) Other house photos are posted below:

The front of the house WITHOUT the dumpster!

Sasha chasing the chickens. She went along Saturday and scared the cats to death. It was awesome and hopefully they all GO AWAY and don't come back!

The downstairs bathroom with the new cabinets!

Tenille on the new four wheeler.
I am sure her and J will LOVE riding around on this together!

our house is oz!

Guess this will teach me to watch my laundry!

Wogoman Weekly -Volume 2 Issue 11

Couldn't help but put this one first! I was doing laundry and other things and after I put Tenille to bed, this is what I saw tonight! How funny! It is like the wizard of oz at our house!
Good Morning or Evening All!
I hope your labor day weekend was very relaxing! Jason and I went to Put - In - Bay for two nights to celebrate our 9 year anniversary. It was great to unwind and sleep in but we missed Tenille terribly! The pic of J and I is infront of our b and b.

This past week, I got to fight the cold that Tenille had and try to stay on top of this new schedule at school. We have green and gold days now and each day is REALLY different for me. So in the morning I think . . hmmmm what am I supposed to be doing today? Which usually is not how I am! I do have to say my kids are adjust beautifully. Tenille did great with my parents for three days. They said that she would sleep all night and then in the morning when they went to get her she would pop up in the crib and say hi! She is so silly! Of course that didn't hold out for our first night back with her. I think she thought we were leaving or something. She would get all worked up, I would go in there and instantly she would calm down. I leave and 10 minutes later it would start all over again. It was a very long night.

Thursday night J picked her up from daycare and she was just rotten from then on. Throwing things, not wanting to sit down to eat, just crabby. So we thought, ok how about a bath? She loves those. So I went to change her. As I was undoing the buttons on her onies, I feel this weird stuff, and then about 1/4 cup of little rocks fell out. Then I undo her diaper and another 1/4 cup falls out. I guess I would have been crabby too with rocks in my underwear. I am not sure if she put them there or if some other kid at daycare did but I now understand why she was so mean!

Tenille gets a new teacher this week at day care. Her old one quit. So keep your fingers crossed that we get a good one! Tenille has a daycare open house on Thursday. There will be a potato bar if anyone is interested in joining us. My mom and dad went last time and had so much fun they are going again this year, but if you want to see the school (and I would give a tour of the house too) let me know!

On the new home front: they are laying tile and carpet and should be done by Monday night. Yes, these guys worked over the entire holiday weekend. We aren't complaining. I am putting some of those pictures online too. I hope to put more up after we go out tomorrow and see what it looks like. It finally is looking like a home! We did get to see the one bathroom. We were not supposed to walk on it and what does Tenille do, goes in and has a seat! Ugh!

Compare this picture with the one a few weeks ago (see WAY below)

This is our bedroom. We put tile infront of most the doors. Hope this helps!

Doesn't seem like we did much this week except house stuff and put in bay.

J did do some training for the fire department. (Hence the red suit) Tenille wasn't really impressed! Guess that is completely ok! Until next week!
