Wogoman Weekly - Volume 2 week 10

(Check out those new kicks I got her! Grandpa dressed her and did her hair!)

I hope this finds you all well! We have had a very LONG week here. 5 days of school kicked both Tenille's and I's butts.

On the new and improved front:
Tenille has at least 2 teeth coming in we can feel and more that we know are close.
We have also worked some more on our new house and I found Cora bells and day lilies. (Guess they can grow even if no one loves them). They should be laying tile on Wednesday and carpet right after!

Worst part of the week:

Our sick little girl!

Tenille developed a cough Saturday morning. Jason was working. Then her little fever (we thought due to teeth) got higher and higher. After calling Doctor Angie (twice), the doctor on call(once), Jason (so many times I lost count), I thought I had it under control (cold bath and drugs) and put her to bed at 8pm. At midnight she woke up and had a croup cough. This was like bad flash backs to when she couldn't breath when she was super little. I sat outside with her for an hour, hoping the Motrin would take the fever back down. No such luck. So J and I took her the ER at 1:30am. They took xrays and gave her steroids and antibiotics. They tested her for H1N1 and that was negative, thank goodness! Her throat is all tight, which is causing her cough and raspiness. Tenille was so brave and cried a little. She didn't like the xrays so much or the thing they taped to her toe to see her oxygen level.

I got to leave at 4 am to go fill her meds. J got to go back to work (he took 4 hours of emergency leave to come be with us!). So off I went to get the drugs. That should go fine right? Nope. CVS updates it's computers on Sunday morning, so off to wallgreens it was. So boooooo to CVS! I crawled back into bed at 5am and then got up at 6an to give her the next dose of everything. Today she seems better and not so stinking hot! We are hoping this will break the fever, if not we have to see our family doctor tomorrow. Poor pumpkin just looks miserable! And to top the cake, when I got her home, she needed to be changed. So I tried to wrestle with her. She ended up standing up and I thought ok fine. The next thing I know, my foot is warm, then my leg, finally I realize (I'm in the dark) that she is peeing all over me. How awesome is that! So I cleaned her up, put her to bed, and then cleaned myself up. ahhhhhhh! How do people have one than one of these things? They don't come with owners manuals and are ornery! But oh so stinking cute!

The positive side of this:
We got to see all the teeth that are coming in soon on her right side because of the xray! And I learn I can function at 3 am if needed!

I went to the resale on Saturday and got lots of good stuff. Then I stopped by a garage sale and got the deal of the lifetime! This lady had 18 and 24 month clothes for 25 cents each. I loaded up! Some were a little stained and I got most of them out. For 25 cents, she can get it really really messy and I don't care! :)

I hope next week's letter is a little less eventful. :)

The pictures I sent this week show Tenille with her tree. I planted the tree right before Tenille was born. I put it in a pot knowing that we would be moving someday soon. Currently it is as tall as she is! :) It will be one of the first things I plant when we are "offically" moved in. P.s. this outfit cost me 25cents for the top and $2 for the pants. I think Tenille is trying to step on the shadow!

Wogoman Weekly - volume 2 week 9

Oh my, back to school, moving, and a poopie first day! What more could you ask for from a week?

This week we jumped into me going back to work full time and Tenille going back to daycare full time. She is such a trooper and hasn't even given me as much as a pouty lip.

She does get made when breakfast is not ready. Most days she eats a little with me at home and then breakfast at daycare too. She is a growing girl you know!

Our "poopie' first day started like this: I get up early and let the dogs out. I ask myself' "should I bring them back inside while I shower . . .no what could happen?" when I get out of the shower I hear Harry barking the "Sasha is out" bark. Sure enough she was chasing a cat all over the back yard and destroying my neighbor's flowers. (I didn't feel too bad, it was the lady that called the cops on us for our weed problem when we first moved into the house) Anyways, so I go out there in a tank top and shorts and start running after Sasha and she takes off. Only then do I realize that my neighbors are out with their camcorder to record their children's first day of school. Nice. So I go back inside to eat and then hear them calling Sasha's name. Outside I go, but no Sasha. But I do get to make another appearance on the camera and the oldest girl tells me that I need to put on a sweater because it is cold! Fabulous! So back in the house because Sasha has vanished again. Then I see Mr. Amis in our yard trying to get Sasha in the house. So I go out there and let her in and she takes off for the bed. Fine with me! Only then do I discover that she is covered in poop under my bed. And J, poor Jason, comes home to find me trying to lure Sasha out with cheese. Sasha would have none of that. J just picks up the bed and yells at her. She comes out and into the bathroom. She knew she was in trouble. So I think, day can't get worse! All this noise wakes up Tenille and I go in to find the stinkiest child! Tenille pooped in the night and it is stuck all over her butt. So, while J is bathing Sasha, I got to bath Tenille. And believe it or not, we were all on time for our first day!

Other than that event we have been picking out stuff for the house, carpet and tile. We are going to look for new toilets tonight on date night. Very romantic I know! I put some other photos of the house up so check out the before and afters. We still have chickens. We met they neighbors across the street. They seem nice. Hope all is well!

On a last note: Tenille has learned the word no. But you have to imagine it in a cute girly high pitched "nnnnnnnnnnoooooooooo!" Kinda funny right now but I am sure that will wear off! She also has new teeth coming in. I know for sure 1 top one, maybe a bottom one, and a back molar (so says the daycare). So we are whipping out the oral gel and trying to help the poor girl.

I also entered Tenille in the cutest baby contest for the elkhart truth.

Our New House

Here is the "barn". Can you see the chickens?

Here is the out building. (Not our boat)

The front door . . . wait where is it?

Oh there it is! We went and worked on it this weekend!
Here is the upstairs living room. (Jason smiled just for you!)

Here is the basement where most of the construction is going on.

My favorite room, the sun room. If you can't find me I will be here.
And you might say, "Hey I think I see a pool, was there water in there?" and you are right but it needs some "loving". The outside needs major loving . . .

Wogoman Weekly Volume 2 Issue 8

You know this has been a busy week for us because of a few items that happened Friday:
1) I was sure I had not emailed you all this week
2)This was really strange to me because it was like Wednesday already (it was Friday)
3)I had NO pictures of Tenille this week!
I know amazing right!

On the house front, we still don't know much and are waiting on the banks. The guy who is supposed to look at the paper work went on vacation Thursday and Friday so we are praying that Monday we know something. I am gathering boxes and packing stuff in the hopes that we move. If not it is a really good way to clean out our junk. I just can't believe the STUFF we have acquired since we moved last! ugh! I have found that even some of the stuff I packed I went . . no I really don't like that anymore and I am trying to unpack while packing.

I went back to school for Moodle training. I will give you the website I am creating as soon as it is done. Tenille got sent home from daycare on her first full day. This does not bode well for the rest of the year. She has what we call poopie butt. I guess all the kids at daycare have it, but I am like, are you kidding me? One day and she gets sick. We think it might be ice cream vs. the flu at daycare. When given ice cream she usually has a problem in the poop area. So we will be watching that. The awesome part is when you have poopie butt you can't go back to daycare for 24 hours! So my mom had to watch on Friday because J worked and Tenille was kicked out of daycare. Ugh! Grandma and Tenille had a great time and she even took 2 naps for my mom!

On the "what is Tenille doing new" front: J has taught her to "smell" things. She is finally getting the idea that you breathe in when you smell. So now she runs around crinkling her nose and breathing in lots. She also has been seen making fish lips. I have not been able to catch her on film but will keep trying! (what a weird expression, I don't even use film anymore!)

This coming Friday is my first day with students. Wish me luck. I already decided that it will be better than last year, T is sleeping better(knock on wood), I won't be carrying a breast pump to school, and I can drop T off at daycare and THEY will feed her breakfast. What could be better?

We sold our boat this week via craig's list. In the last three years we really haven't had time to use it. So it was sad but it sold in less than a week! As for the pictures this week, the frist is Tenille's new crazy nose trick,

the second is her struting her stuff at Aunt Jan's pool,

and the third is her eating a bannana.

She had corn for lunch and was so excited about the bannana she started eating it before I could chop it up! ahhh kids! Tenille has also learned to twist off tops of containers. So far it is just an old peanut butter jar but I am sure this will lead to more trouble!

Children's Resale

Good Morning/Good evening depending on when you are reading this.  If you haven't been to the wakarusa resale it is awesome.  There are tons of everything, including other people to be let in.  Just thought I would pass along the website:

I have gotten great deals there. Hope to see you there!

Wogoman Weekly - Volume 2 Issue 7

Last Sunday Tenille and I visited my Aunt Jan and Uncle Bill. Tenille absolutely loved their dog and had fun playing with their other great niece that was there. A comment from their neighbor (who was outside with 3 dogs, again all of there were loved by Tenille) made me stop and think. Tenille was laughing that high "girlie" laugh each time the dogs came close to her. The lady said, "I wish I could find that much joy in the simple things." And that is exactly what Tenille does. She finds joy in EVERYTHING, the sock drawer, the horse going by the house, the dog food dish, and everywhere else she is not supposed to be. Tenille laughs, she is happy and she wants everyone to know it. She says hi to EVERYONE no matter what they look like or act like. At church on Sunday, she gave the girl watching her at the daycare a kiss goodbye. Talk about love for your fellow human being, Tenille has got it! Why can't we all be like that? She doesn't need more of anything (except food, she is always asking for more food). Our little bundle of joy is truly that . . joy wrapped up and walking around. It is so awesome to be around her and her happiness.

Tenille went to the car show at the Essenhaus with my parents this week. They say she had a great time. :)

We didn't win the little sweetheart contest in Middlebury but that is ok. Tenille had fun in the parade, she slept through the whole thing! The rain and the band behind us didn't deter her at all from sleeping. When we were finished she woke up and watched the rest of the parade. She got a Tootsie roll and I thought . . oh she can play with that. Well, all of a sudden I smell Tootsie roll and look down at my darling daughter. This girl had eaten right through the paper to get to the candy and had it running down her dress and all over her face. She was so happy. Then she looked at me like . . . what? Oh Tenille.

I go back to work this Thursday for training and then school starts. I can't believe summer went by so FAST! Back to the real world.

On the house front, we think the person buying our house will get financing so we may be moving her soon! Yippy! So that is about it. Enjoy the pictures.

And just so you know the one is her eating a pepper off the plant in my garden. Yep, she knows there is food in there and wants it!

The other pictures is with her and a book cover on her head. This girl loves to read!

last chance to vote for Tenille

Hey everyone, just wanted to say that the voting for Tenille ends on Friday.  If you are in Middlebury stop in to first state bank and drop a few pennies in container number 12.  Remember the money is going towards the festival and the food pantry in Middlebury.  Last week they help 163 families.  A year ago they were helping 13 families a week.  The need is great so give big!

Wogoman Weekly - Volume 2 - Issue 6

I have to start this week with this story. I am so amazed at Tenille and how fast she learns, but it amazes me even more when she teaches me something. The other day we were outside playing on her kangaroo climber and the neighbor girl came outside. She is 5 and getting ready for kindergarten. I thought . . . awww don't come over here . . I don't want to have to watch 2 kids ( i know not very nice) she waited around and then started walking away. That is when Tenille saw her. Now this girl and Tenille have played before in the climber and had a wonderful time. Tenille started waving and saying hi and then she looked so sad because the girl didn't see her and left. Tenille didn't think uh . . another kid . . she was so excited and then disappointed when the neighbor girl didn't come play. We should all be more like Tenille. We need to open up to people that are just lonely and want to play. We need to find joy in the little things in life, like playing with friends. When the neighbor girl turned around again I waved and she came right over to play. It wasn't extra work and Tenille had fun and so did the girl. There a small lesson about making friends from a one year old.

This week has been filled with so much! We continued swim lessons this week. I know Tenille had fun but I am glad that they are over! That pool is COLD! I think Tenille became a lot more comfortable in the water and that is what we were looking for!

Our big news of the week is that we think we sold our house! We are waiting on the financing for the person buying our house. If that goes through we are going to be buying a house on CR 12. It is awesome. Tenille has become attached to the cat out there. The landscaping needs lots of work but it's on almost 8 acres! So please keep us in your thoughts and prayers while we wait for news from the bank!

The picture of Tenille with the paint is from painting my mom's butterfly house. I love the look on her face, it screams, "what red paint? I don't know how that happened!"

Tenille on the slide at the zoo.

Parker and Tenille playing! I love the look on his face! It says "cheese!"

Tenille had a great play date day on Tuesday. We went to the zoo and had fun with Parker and Quinn. She passed out in the car on the way home. I guess it was just too much for her. Then we fondued with our friends and played with their two baby girls. Tenille had so much fun she didn't want to sleep that night. So we were up from 10:30 to 12:00am. If you turned out the lights and put her down she screamed. Turn on the lights and she would play and have a great time. ugh! We are officially off the bottle. It was so hard. Not on Tenille but on me. She would cry and I would want to comfort her with a bottle. Tenille seems to be fine with it and is getting better everyday with her sippy cup. Where did my baby go?

Jason's dad had his birthday party on Saturday. It was fun to see all the family. As we get ready to cut the cake, with lots of other children around, Tenille makes a bee-line for the cake and puts her hand in the frosting. Yep, she thought it was AWESOME! Ugh! You have to watch her every minute! :)

In the what is she doing new category: she is sucking her fingers clean when they have food on them. Kinda cute!
