wogoman weekly - volume 4 issue 4

Oh how the garden grows!  Especially when my super awesome husband ran water up to it.  What out world . . we have . . beans, cucumbers, onions, and peppers coming out!  To bad most of it doesn't make there way into the kitchen. :)  That girl of ours will eat the peas, beans, cucumbers all raw and it keeps her entertained while I weed a little.  Not getting a lot of weeding done :( that pool it calls to my soul! :) But Tenille eats most of our veggies right away.  Yippy for that right?

Well I want to know . . have you noticed?  At night or early in the morning they started.  Now the bold little suckers are making noise all day long.  The cicadas have arrived.  My grandma at the lake used to say that summer was over on the 4th of July.  I thought that was depressing.  Until I heard the cicadas this year start right after the 4th.  I don't think my grandmother was talking the end of summer but a lesson that we had all better appreciate what we have now because soon . .. yes like 7 or 8 weeks, it could frost.  Imagine that on this 110 degree heat index day.  So listen for those little bugs, hey they have been growing for 17 years to get to make that noise and only the boys get to.

Tenille finally let me take her picture. One with Bart and one with her tree.  Yes, she is naked.  Don't you wish you could run around like that in this heat?  Stupid Bambi keeps eating her tree.  Poor tree.  It is going to be deformed or something.  I also sent you a picture of how I found J and Tenille the other night.  Look carefully.  First off came the socks, then the shirt, then the shorts and underware, and there she is with her floatie on in the pool.  Crazy girl.  She did get in the pool the other day, laid back on her back, started floating around the pool with her feet up and said, (and I am not kidding you here) ," Ahhhh this is the life."  Well yes dear it is, and we are so lucky to be living it.We are in that pool almost every night now.  Have to wait until almost  8 pm before it is cool enough but it is still nice.  Except the frogs.  I cleaned 7 out of the skimmer today.  2 were still alive, the others . . ugh they smelled bad.

Tenille's prayers are starting to become very comical to me because she prays for what she really wants in life. Daddy to be safe, Luke to get big, and freckles. Yup, she wants lots of freckles.  Funny huh?

Well I hope you all enjoy the fair this week.  Eat the doughnuts and the ice cream.  There is no reason not too right?  It's hot and you need to cool off.  Plans for Maine are coming along and we think there is going to be a stop in Boston along the way.  Off course they will be playing the cubs in Chicago when we are there. . . but it will still be cool.  Have a wonderful day.

wogoman weekly - volume 4 issue 3

Good afternoon Everyone.  No I have not forgot about updating you all on our going ons . . . it is just summer and beautiful outside.  :)

We are spending most nights in the pool.  So that is getting good use.  Aunt Cari and cousin squishy came over and enjoyed the pool this week.  Tenille thinks that Katie should be swimming by now.  How fun is little kids perception.

This week I took Tenille blue berry picking out on CR 6.  She loved it.  She said it was really really really really fun.  Yup 4 reallys.  That is a lot of fun.  I think there was a probable 10 to 1 ratio on blueberries actually making it into her bucket but she had a great time and is enjoying eating all the fruit of our labor.  I was able to freeze almost 12 quarts of blueberries.  So awesome.  I will be so happy eating those in February on my oatmeal.

We went down to the lake this weekend to visit grandma and grandpa with the lion at the lake.  I guess we could have shot to call them grandma and grandpa wogoman but it is so fun to watch her come up with her own names.  :)  she took another scooter ride as she calls it.  So fun.  She likes going "warp speed"  and I am pretty sure she didn't stop singing or talking the whole time we were out.

We are trying to plan out trip for Maine.  Main requirements are sitting on the beach and hanging out.  That and a trip to the outlet mall and the winery.  Hmmmmm wonder if you can take your 3 year old there?  I keep telling Tenille we are going to see the ocean but she is just excited to be spending that must time with mom and dad.

J and I took her to her three year check up.  Everything looks great.  She is in the 50th percentile for height, and 25th percentile for weight.  Didn't have to guess hard on that one.  So no shots so that was great.  Tenille got a sticker and was happy with that.

It is so interesting to listen to her talk.  Even when upset about something still uses adult sentences.  Like, "mommy I tried to close the sugar container and pinched my finger instead."  Do all three year olds use the word instead?  I don't know but I had to smile while she said that as tears poured out of her eyes. :)  Poor thing.  Until next time.

wogoman weekly - volume 4 issue 2

Hopefully you will all see J today and can wish the birthday boy a big happy birthday!
34 years I always thought was old until we got here.  Now that is not so old.  I don't feel old.  Well just when I run a long way. :)  J gets a great present.  We got him a new truck.  Fire red.  Four doors, more room for everyone.  So stinkin excited for him.  Well we also got him some jelly bellies (his favorite Jelly beans) but he already got those because Tenille isn't much for keeping secrets. :)

This has been one crazy busy week.  J has been working a ton (got make money while the sun is shining he says) and Tenille has been home with me.  Marv and Linda have been up from Florida and J's aunt Cathy was here over the weekend too.  We tried to show them the sites in case they forgot what they were.

We saw the world trade center piece come through Bristol.  It was amazing and somber all at the same time. 2,819 people died in the 9.11 attacks.  There were just over 3,000 bikes with the piece of metal.  I just keep thinking as all those bikes rode by how many people and how many lives were changed because of 9.11.  I saw the Axe men (the elkhart fire department motorcycle group) ride by.  There were countless other firemen, some in  their turn out gear, some with their helmets.  I am so very proud of the job that J does.  We are so lucky to have him.

We got Tenille's pictures back from her birthday photo shoot. :)  Even though she screamed and didn't want to cooperate, somehow Heather Baber was able to find some great pictures of her.  Heather is amazing.  Her website is http://baberredbarnphoto.blogspot.com/.

We spent July 3rd with Phil and Sharon at the Lake.  Tenille got her first "scooter ride" as she called it.  She absolutely loved the jet ski.  It was nice to she her take to the lake.  July 4th we spent and Jeff and Heather's.  It was nice to be close to home and spending time with family and friends.  Tenille actually feel asleep at dinner that night and slept for 13 hours.  Holy cow I know!

Tenille  "thinks" she can swim now in our pool and is always surprised when she stinks.  That is not a cool trick mommy she said last night.  We are working with her without her life jacket a little each time we get in the pool.  She is taking it all with stride. :)  Well I hope your 4th was awesome.  Enjoy your weekend.  J has both days off like a normal family.  :)  Drive in movie?  Maybe!
