week 28

We have survived our first vacation with Tenille! We say LOTS of first. She may have had a great growing week or we were just around more!

Tenille now HATES her car seat! She spent 19 hours in it on the way down and 16 hours on the way back. Not a happy camper. I put her in it this morning to go to daycare and she started crying! :(

We had to stop about every 100 miles or so with her. She slept a ton on the way home because we left in the middle of the night.

The first night we were in Seabrook, SC she got up . . . . 30 TIMES in the middle of the night. She finally fell asleep in my arms on the couch. I didn't move. I woke up with a sore neck. I think it was weird for her being somewhere so new.

Big news is that she is trying to crawl. She has her but up in the air and is trying really hard to get her feet into the carpet.

She now cries when you take something away from her that she wants. She was eating the T.V. remote and Jason took it from her. She started crying with tears and everything. He gave it back to her and she stopped. J looked at me and said, "Huh, we are to that stage now!" She also learned to turn the T.V. on and off and how to mess with the volume. She must a be a technology genius!

She got to touch the ocean and sit on the beach. She got to see dolphins almost everyday, and got a horse drawn carriage ride around Charleston.

On the eating side of things, she has decided that nursing is not for her really anymore and she is eating a TON of "big girl food" She ate oatmeal, a container of applesauce, and a container of sweet potatoes all for breakfast on Friday. She was so happy.

We got to visit with Marv and Linda because they came to see us in South Carolina. They think that she has gotten so big! (Well I guess she has!)

On the other kid front, our dogs stayed at home with Nikki Barnes. The first night we were gone we got a message from Nikki that was a picture with both dogs looking away. Apparently they had escaped and ran away. Nikki did a GREAT job and got them back to the house. Jason and I would be lost with Nikki, she is our babysitter, dog-house sitter, and my student aid at school.

So all in all a very eventful week. Wish us luck, we go to the doctor Friday for a 6 month appointment. We are also going to get her ears checked out again and talk about her breathing. She seems to be much better but I want her to stay that way! :)

One last thing, at Christmas, Tenille's cousin Anna couldn't say Tenille, Anna calls her snille. How cute! Have a great week!
