I hope this email finds you all happy, healthy, and ready for the new year!
Christmas was so magical with a 3 and a half year old. She loved every minute except Christmas morning. She woke up but was too tired to open some of her presents right at the beginning. We thought for sure she was sick and even took her temp. Nothing. Just turns out she really isn't ready to open presents until she is wide awake. By the time she opened her markers from Santa, she was much more lively. :)
We spend Christmas Eve morning with Phil and Sharon. There she got Bitty baby. Bitty doesn't have a name other than Bitty baby. It sleeps with her every night and even when to church with us on Christmas Eve. It is a reslint doll. It got candle wax on her head and the doll didn't even cry. :) Neither did the mommy Tenille because she got the wax off befor Tenille saw it. Then it was off to my Aunt Doreen's house. We got to see tons of family that we haven't seen for so long. I even got to meet my cousin's daughter finally. They live in Canada and I was sick when they were here for Thanksgiving. We of course had out white elephant gift exchange there. I am the proud owner of the tug boat rock for the next year. My Uncle Jack found the rock at it look just like a tug boat. My brother had it last year. This year I have it. It will go back into the gift exchange next year. That is the rules set up My Uncle Jack. You have to take care of the rock and you have to bring it back next year. We have that and a gaint nome. My cousin Jordan and her husband have had it for two years. Maybe next year we can get the nome!
Christmas morning we stayed home until 1 and then went to my parents house. It was awesome as always. It was cool to see Tenille and Katie help eveyone open their gifts. By then Tenille was into opening everything! It was wonderful to spend so much time with some many family memebers. And we were blessed that J didn't have to work EITHER day! Pretty cool?
All in all I got 10 books and an Amazon Kindle. If you can't find me in the next few months it is because I either have a my noise in a book or ..... no I will probably just have my nose in a book! :) One book is already done by the way and I am head long into my next one.
We have enjoyed our time off of school. Tenille has only cried once that she wants to go back to school and see her friends. I guess that is a good thing. We are having another couple with two boys over for New Year's Eve so hopefully that will help her because she will have TWO boys to play with. Grandpas, no fear, we have Dad on the lose here that is ready to make sure those two boys behave themsevles. Their parents have already decided that Tenille should marry one of the boys some day. So we will be sure to let you know how the night goes. Not really sure about taking Tenille back to daycare. She has more bruises and straches from spending a week with me then she gets in a whole month of daycare. Currently she is working on getting a black eye from running around Jeff and Heather's house last night and running straight into Jeff and his glass he was drinking from. She didn't even cry. :) What a tough lady.
Well the sushi rice is done cooking and now has to cool down before we can start making all the sushi for tonight. The kids are getting pasta. :) Have a great da, enjoy your time with family and friends!
